We're constantly adding features and updates. Sometimes this causes bugs but we verify them as fix them as soon as possible.
You can see a list of current known issues in BridgeOS here.
Please note: this doesn't include feature requests - only issues and bugs.
The best place for updates to expected shipping times for each individual product is this regularly-updated page on our webstore.
Sometimes, as much as we hate to, we need to delay shipments due to family circumstances, supply chain delays, or manufacturing errors.
We build as many as we can, and they keep going out of stock before we ship them!
If you want a PIRATE MIDI device, we suggest preordering as soon as you can to avoid having to wait for the next batch which can sometimes be 3-6 months extra wait time.
Our Discord server has a dedicated forum for suggesting, voting on, and discussing ideas for changes or features.
Our Device Library is super awesome, but it's not a compatibility list. If your device is able to be controlled with MIDI, there's a 99.9% chance our devices will work fine with it - that's the beauty of MIDI.
The Device Library is a database of MIDI commands from manufacturers who give their devices a list of preset commands linked to particular controls. To save you time looking through those devices' user manuals, we did it for you and put it all in our Web Editor. It took forever, but it was totally worth it.
The dedicated, non-switchable "MIDI In" and "MIDI Out" on all PIRATE MIDI devices are Type A TRS, or normal DIN5.
However, the Flexiports can be switched between 4 different TRS MIDI types:
- Type A
- Type B
- Tip Active
- Ring Active

If your amp is not a MIDI controlled amp, and only has a footswitch jack for switching channels, it's likely that the BRIDGE controller is not able to be used. We created the CLiCK Relay Switcher specifically for this purpose.
The Flexiport mode "Switch Out" which is used to emulate an analog switch has a voltage limit of 3.3v. Most Amp, and certainly older ones will pass a much higher voltage through the Aux Footswitch jack.
Before using the Switch Out Flexiport mode, we recommend checking the voltage of the target device's jack with a multimeter to make sure the voltage is not above 3.3v.
The BRIDGE creates and receives MIDI only. It does nothing with audio signals and is not part of an audio signal chain.
Here are some non-MIDI devices that you can connect to a BRIDGE controller:
- Devices with an "Aux Tap Tempo" jack (note: Flexiports have voltage limits)
- Devices with an "Aux Switch" jack (note: Flexiports have voltage limits)
- Devices with a "Sync Clock In" jack for Tempo
- Strymon pedals with a Fav switch jack
(Flexiport needs to be in Fav switch mode)
If you want to bypass or engage and non-MIDI pedal with a BRIDGE controller, you will also need a uLOOP - a MIDI-controllable relay bypass looper.
You just need to factory reset. Hold FS1 while powering up the device. Hold for about 7 seconds until the LEDs go white.
Then you can release the switch and it will reset your device to complete the final part of the firmware update.
