Aero

QuickStart Guide

Congratulations on your new purchase!

Aero is an amazing tool to take you from basic to advanced MIDI control - all in a tiny form factor that fits anywhere.
Before you get started, please use our updater to check that your firmware is up to date - there have been multiple firmware releases since Aero was launched!

1. Passive Aux Switch Mode

If you just need an aux switch, plug a TRS cable into the 1/4" TRS Aux Switch jack on the back of the Aero. No power needed, it'll just do it's thing. The switches on the Aero are labelled A, B, and C and on the rear you'll see a legend that tells you which switch connects to which part of the TRS connector.

2. Powered Fancy Aux Switch Mode

Maybe you just want some colored LEDs to help you manage your aux switch presses? Just power your Aero with USB or 9v centre-negative DC and you'll have toggle mode LEDs instantly following your presses. If you want momentary or always-on LEDs, head to the web editor and change the switch mode. The switch mode is tied directly to how the LEDs operate.

3. MIDI Control Everything!

Now that you know how the Aero works, it's time to dive into the rest of its features! MIDI control is Aero's bread and butter and along with our amazing web editor, you can send messages when you switch presets, press switches, move expression pedals, or just boot up the Aero!

If you want to plug in an aux switch or expression pedal to the Flexiports straight away, head to the Global Settings > Flexiport Settings menu in the web editor and choose the appropriate Flexiport mode to get started - you'll then need to head to Global Settings > Expression Messages to add a MIDI message that the expression pedal will send out.
